Former corporate banker David Hunt, his brother Ross and Robin Johnston co-founded Cainthus, a company dedicated to digitizing agricultural practices.
With a rich family history in agriculture, Hunt has long been fascinated by the opportunities presented to the industry by exploiting emerging technology. Since its founding two short years ago, Cainthus has been through several finance rounds and is now commercializing its computer vision based dairy and crop products.
Hunt has provided consultancy for the Advanced Research Projects Agency of the United States Department of Energy on sustainable agriculture and the European Union Agriculture and Rural Development Cabinet on agricultural legislation and entrepreneurship.
Hunt sits on the Exponential Advisory Board of Singularity University in Silicon Valley, California, USA. Singularity University was founded by Peter Diamandis and Ray Kurzweil to educate people about the impact that exponentially improving technologies can have on the world.
